What is Integral Sound Therapy?
At the very core of my work lies the intention to create and hold spaces that feel safe and true to soften into; that allows you to be free from everyday roles and responsibilities. Whether for a day, a few hours or just for a moment, whether meeting in the physical, connecting to a shared experience or listening to a recording - my invitation for you is to open yourself to the still centre within your being from where you can engage with and create life effortlessly. In a world that can feel noisy, fragmented and simply “out of tune”, Integral Sound Therapy offers a direct, non-verbal pathway into deep relaxation, presence and connection. My role - and passion - is to offer space and structure for regulation and integration, supporting sustainable wellbeing, nervous-system balance, mental clarity and coherent decision making.
My work is not linked to any specific, certified methods, trainings or institutions. I work with sound as a relational tool, attentive to the body, the nervous system and the person(s) I work with. I call this approach “integral” because it addresses the whole human and its being in all its layers and dimensions through sound and vibration. It works across physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels - as we know it from many holistic healing approaches - and on psychological, energetic and contextual planes. Rather than focussing on symptom-based intervention or escapism from the “humanness” of our lives, I provide structured and supportive spaces to encounter experiences more clearly, and to cultivate awareness and everyday-life integration from there.
Spaces to meet yourself
Presence in practice
Sound works directly and intelligently with the body and its energetic imprint. It does not require analysis, belief or verbal processing to have an effect. Vibrations are perceived consciously and subconsciously, influencing breath, muscle tone, heart rate, brain waves and internal rhythms. My approach is trauma-sensitive and, as such, it prioritizes safety, choice, consent and self-regulation. The term “integral” reflects how I work:
Sound is used as part of a whole.
Attention, presence, pacing and listening generate the foundation. My work evolves from within the space between sound and silence.
Each session creates itself from what is present rather than following a fixed protocol.
I work with carefully chosen instruments, including voice and rhythm, applied with intention.
Silence, intentional challenges and integration are part of the work.
Sessions reflect simplicity and usability in everyday life contexts.
Each space is opened within a set energetic framework that ensures a clear connection to beneficial energies only.
I honour your sovereignty: Within a clear and held container, I listen, I invite and I respect your own inner authority.
Sound as an invitation to listen differently
My work is neither healing, nor classical therapy - it is an invitation and inspiration for you to tap into your own abilities to rewire, rebalance and reconnect. It is about you intentionally reclaiming the version of yourself that is - and has always been - whole and untouched. While rooted in different spiritual practices, this work is deeply grounded and professional. It is the mirror that allows you to see, feel and understand what is alive inside of your being, allowing perspective and consciousness to open and preparing the ground for transformation. It is based on your unique experience and perception, free from beliefs and belief systems, and open to people from all walks of life.
Integral Sound Therapy acknowledges that our experiences are shaped by multiple, interconnected layers: physical sensation, breath, emotion, attention and meaning as well as subconscious layers of our being. Sessions may therefore include various elements, such as meditation, gentle body- and voicework, moments of active participation as well as receptive listening. Playing the Gong, together with other instruments, voice and embodied practices, I guide you into meeting yourself as you are, in your own pace and capability.
Whenever possible I include nature into my work. Bornholm is a truly magical place, deeply shaped and nourished by the elements, inviting us to listen deeply to the wisdom of Earth that is available to us.
Integral Sound Therapy perfectly and naturally complements other types of therapy and traditional medicinal approaches. I am not a licensed psychotherapist or or medical professional and my work does not replace therapy or clinical treatment. I do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions, yet, my work can suppport you in creating and living a stable fundament for whatever you meet in life. I invite you into a container, as pure and as safe as possible, for you to meet yourself, yet, the “real work” happens beyond any session: in your daily thoughts, choices and relationships. Sound acts as an invitation to listen differently, most of all to yourself.
